NIOD is formulated to enhance the natural functions of the skin, allowing it to perform at its best. Our two blue essential formulations Copper Amino Isolate Serum 3 1:1 (CAIS3) and Copper Amino Isolate Lipid 1 % (CAIL) are powered by copper peptides to encourage skin to thrive.
We wanted to pull the curtain back at our lab and share a closer look at the science behind this ingredient’s optimising potential and the difference between our two copper peptide formulations, NIOD CAIS3 and CAIL, and which one suits your skincare needs best.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAIS3 AND CAIL
Formulated with copper peptides (GHK-Cu), CAIS3 is our third generation of our Copper Amino Isolate Serum. It encourages optimal skin performance by targeting multiple visible signs of ageing, including textural irregularities, uneven tone, and a general lack of radiance.
If you are someone who wants a lightweight texture and would like to target textural irregularities and uneven skin tone, CAIS3 is a good match for your needs.
CAIL is a system in a blue gel texture developed through a patented process and powered by palmitoyl copper peptides (Pal-GHK-Cu). The breakthrough formulation successfully includes Pal-GHK-Cu at 1%, solubilised in a glycolipid solution for enhanced delivery and skin affinity.
Pal-GHK-Cu is incorporated into a formulation by a patented process that was developed by NIOD over an extensive two-year period. CAIL is for individuals seeking improved elasticity, volume, and tone.
INCORPORATING CAIS3 AND CAIL INTO YOUR SKINCARE REGIMEN
Both Copper Amino Isolate Serum 3 1:1 (CAIS3) and Copper Amino Isolate Lipid 1 % (CAIL) are to be used during your regimen after cleansing. We also recommend sealing in the skincare benefits for both with a moisturiser.
Where these two formulations differ is when to use each for an optimised experience. For CAIS3, use it for both your AM and PM regimen.
Whereas because of its rich gel texture, CAIL should be applied at night only, given the sealing characteristic of the formulation.
If so desired, you can use CAIS3 in the AM and CAIL for your PM regimen for a more versatile approach to target signs of aging including the look of elasticity, volume and skin tone
For both formulations, we recommend not using in combination with the following ingredients:

- Retinoids
- Strong Antioxidants
